Ram Dass, Triggers, and Big News!
A close friend and I recently shared an open-hearted conversation about the reality of our spiritual journeys. Our greatest healing hasn’t come from meditation or yoga or plant medicine…
It came from being triggered.
We’ve both experienced the biggest breakthroughs when we were overcome by the emotional tsunami of a trigger—rage, grief, despair (or whatever cocktail of feelings was being served.)
True spiritual growth comes from the greatest discomfort. It’s not all love and light. 🌈 🦄 💫
Triggers are our teachers.
Every trigger is an opportunity to expand into a deeper level of awareness in order to bring ourselves back into balance, which is what true healing is all about.
Celebrating 10 Years: A Look at How My Business Has Evolved Since 2012
While journaling this morning, I was overcome with immense gratitude for where I currently am in my business and how far I’ve come since starting Incandescent Creative over 10 years (!) ago.
I started this little design studio within one year of graduating college and it has been through several iterations since. I have designed, refined, and redesigned my logo and brand identity three times. I’ve worked with an array of businesses—coaches, spiritual teachers, photographers, event planners, non-profits, restaurants, and more.
I now feel very grounded in where my business is at in this moment in time. (While acknowledging that it will continue to evolve—change is the only constant.)
So, in celebration of this journey and the exploration that has led me to this point, here’s a look at how my brand has evolved through the years…
Inspired Notes: Routine and Rebellion
Occasionally, I feel called to share inspired notes with my email community.
Call them downloads, channeled messages, or intuitive hits—the wisdom I receive in these instances feels like it comes from outside of me. And for that reason, I get the sense that it doesn’t belong to me; it wants to be shared.
This one is about my recent reflections regarding routine and rebellion inspired by an impromptu trip I took + an excerpt from my personal journal…
The Trials & Tribulations That Led Me To Where I Am Today
It feels important to share an honest look at the bumpy road that took me from starting Incandescent Creative to where I am now, 9 years later.
Often we see where others are currently—in business, in life—without knowing how they got there.
We see the end result and may assume it was easy for them. We may even be hard on ourselves by comparing our current struggles with their supposed ease and success.
But we can learn more about others from their failures than their successes. And as part of showing up more authentically in my business, I believe we need to talk about all of it—the good and bad.
