Sissy Hankshaw, a Hybrid Typeface
Helvetica Rounded and Dorchester Script were combined to create this hybrid typeface as a typographic embodiment of Tom Robbins’ Even Cowgirls Get the Blues protagonist Sissy Hankshaw. A stunning wanderlust with cucumber-sized thumbs (and therefore a superior ability to hitchhike), Sissy’s feminine beauty is referenced with Dorchester while Helvetica Rounded adds an awkwardness in homage to her oversized appendages. Sissy is quirky, adventurous, and great for display use.
